CAIRO – Egyptian Transport Minister Kamel el-Wazir on Monday paid an inspection tour of the second railway line of the high-speed electric train, which links the 6th of October City with Luxor and Aswan.
Passenger stations should be established near roads and populated areas to serve the residents of Upper Egypt, the minister said.
He added that 20 high-speed electric trains and 46 regional electric trains will be operating on these railway lines at a speed of 160 km/h.
