Transport min. confers with Libyan counterpart on cooperating in different fields

Egyptian Minister of Transport Kamel el Wazir asserted deep ties between Egypt and Libya and the readiness of the Egyptian Ministry of Transport to facilitate all potentials for cooperation with the brethren in Libya in the different domains in addition to the support of the ministry to expand the participation of national companies in implementing infrastructure projects in Libya.

This came during Wazir’s meeting with Libyan Transport Minister Mohamed Shahubi and his accompanying delegation on the sidelines of the 11th round of the higher Egyptian-Libyan committee held here to discuss aspects of cooperation between Egypt and Libya in the different fields of transport in the presence of the leaderships of the ministries of transport of both countries.

In a statement of the ministry of Wednesday, Shahubi lauded the great development in the transport system in Egypt and the giant projects implemented in the era of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, asserting the keenness of the Libyan side on cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Transport in implementing a number of road and bridges projects in Libya.

Both sides discussed means to boost cooperation in the fields of transport, including land and dry ports and preparations for signing two agreements to be inked in the field of maritime transport.
