The Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir had talks on Wednesday with Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko on means of enhancing the Egyptian-Russian economic ties in various industrial, trade, tourism and investment domains.
In a statement on Wednesday, the minister said the meeting tackled the importance of promoting trade co-operation between the two countries.
The conferees also followed up the establishment of a Russian industrial zone in Egypt which is due to be set up in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
For his part, the ambassador highlighted the depth of the Egyptian-Russian relations in various domains.
He underlined the importance of establishing a Russian industrial zone in Egypt which will contribute to furthering the economic and investment ties.
