CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nivine Gamea reiterated her ministry’s keenness on reinvigorating Egypt’s exhibitions system to place the country on top of the World Fair’s Map and render it a key hub for holding regional and international exhibitions.
In a meeting Wednesday with President and CEO of German Messe Düsseldorf GmbH Wolfram Diener and his accompanying delegation to discuss scopes of bilateral co-operation, the two sides tackled the possibility of benefiting from the German expertise in the field of organising fairs in upgrading the exhibition organising sector in Egypt.
The minister said Egypt eyes bolstering co-operation with Messe Düsseldorf GmbH to boost its capabilities in organising more trade fairs to promote the various production sectors, especially that all activities held in Egypt capture wide attention from world countries, mainly from Africa.
For his part, the Messe Düsseldorf GmbH CEO said Messe Düsseldorf is highly interested in directing more activities towards the Egyptian market; being a key window outlet to the Middle East and African, citing the trade fair organizer’s contribution in Food Africa 2021 and the International Exhibition for Processing & Packaging Pacprocess MEA 2021.
Diener further welcomed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA), with the aim of outlining a map forging future co-operation between the two sides.
The Messe Düsseldorf is a trade fair ground and organiser, based in Düsseldorf, Germany. With a workforce of 1,459 employees worldwide and a total exhibition space of 306,000 m² in Düsseldorf, the company is one of the largest in the industry.
