The transformative industries achieved a growth rate of 9.57% and more than 1,370 industrial land plots were allocated and several industrial complexes were allocated and operated, added Samir.
The minister’s remarks came during the inauguration of the 10th economic conference of Akhbar El Youm, themed “challenges and priorities,” in the presence of several ministers.
Samir added non-petroleum exports increased to 35.631 million dollars in 2023 and Egyptian imports declined to 73 billion dollars with a decrease of 14% compared to 2022.
The balance of trade deficit was down to about 11 billion dollars, as it recorded nearly 37 billion dollars against 48 billion dollars in 2022, he said.
