Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Eissa briefed the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham) last Monday on tourism promotion strategy.
Eissa said his ministry is aiming for 30 million visitors by 2028.
“This will mean easier access to tourist destinations, more flights to Egyptian airports, and an improved spending programme on tourism promotion campaigns, the minister added.
Further promotion will entail an environment conducive to tourism investments, more hotel room nights, and better quality services for tourists, Eissa said.
“According to the latest UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, tourism in Egypt saw an annual increase of 108.6 points, so we can allow ourselves to be more optimistic about the future,” Eissa said.
