The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities took part in meetings of the 4th African Union Specialized Technical Committee (STC) meeting on Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals (TTIM) held from 13 to 17 May 2024 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea under the theme “Enhancing Africa’s Trade Competitiveness through Tourism, Industrial and Mineral Resources Development”.
Archeologist Adel El Guindy, the director general of the strategic communications department at the ministry represented the minister of tourism at the meetings, said the ministry in a statement.
The deliberations of the ordinary session reviewed drafts of the Revised Rules of Procedures, African Union Green Minerals Strategy, E-Commerce Strategy,.
The ministerial meeting discussed the African Union’s startup policy framework, which envisions the transformative potential of entrepreneurs in Africa and the startup ecosystem in order to support Africa’s economy, create jobs, improve lives, sustain the positive social and economic results achieved, protect Africa’s future, and drive development towards promising horizons characterized by justice and transparency.
