CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani reviewed the finishing touches and preparations for a major celebration in Luxor to promote the governorate’s tourist attractions.
During a meeting with representatives of the event management company, the minister was briefed on the latest progress in the company’s preparations for the event, including art show ideas, decorations, participants’ clothes, promotion materials, and lyrics of songs.
The celebration will take place within the next few weeks to highlight the governorate’s tourism and archaeological components, especially after upgrading governorate’s infrastructure and completing a major restoration project at the 3,000-year-old Great Processional Way, also known as el-Kebash Road, which connects the famous Luxor and Karnak temples.
Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Motafa Waziri and the executive director of the General Authority for Tourism Promotion attended the meeting.
