Customers have sold foreign currency worth over EGP 927 mn in the last 10 days following the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE)’s decision to liberalize trade exchange rate, said Chairman of Misr Exchange Company Adel Fawzy.
In exclusive statements to MENA on Saturday, Fawzy said that most of the transactions were USD sales at 65%, followed by the euro, at 18%, the Saudi riyal, at 13%, the British pound, at 2%, the Emirati dirham at 1%, and another 1% for other currencies.
