The British newspaper The Independent confirmed that tourism in Egypt has not been significantly affected by the conflict in the Middle East, and that flights at major airports such as Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh, Alexandria, Borg El-Arab, Hurghada, and Luxor continue to operate normally. The newspaper explained that the main tourist destinations are completely safe, including Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria, in addition to the Red Sea resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada. It noted that there are no exceptional circumstances that would warrant canceling trips or refunding payments.
