Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat attended via video conferencing Saturday the signing of a cooperation agreement and scientific partnership between Business Technology Faculty of Egypt University for Business Administration in the University of Ottawa in Canada and Telfer School of Management to boost academic cooperation and exchange of experiences in scientific researches.
The agreement calls for granting dual certificates by Canada’s Telfer business school and the Egyptian faculty.
The Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa is the proud academic home of some 4,300 students, 200 faculty members, and over 30,000 alumni.
The school’s accreditation from the three most demanding international organizations (AACSB, AMBA & EQUIS) underline that it is recognized as one of the world’s top business schools.
Under the deal, students will learn at the Egyptian faculty to study programs of business technology management, digital marketing and electronic commerce, accounting in the last two academic years in the University of Ottawa.
The students will virtually get acquainted with the university’s learning curricula for one year and complete their study in the Canadian university in the final year to get dual degrees.
Talaat underscored the agreement is part of distinguished relations binding Egypt and Canada, given the two countries are seeking to promote joint cooperation in building capabilities and attaining human development .
The deal comes in completion of successful partnership with Canada’s University of Ottawa, added the minister.
In turn, Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs Hazem Fahmy commended efforts exerted to develop the IT sector, stressing the need of developing Egyptian cadres in this vital sector.
