Members of the Higher Committee of Security and Environmental Inspection, headed by Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation Pilot Montaser Manna, made first inspection tour of Taba and Sharm el-Sheikh airports.
During the tour in the two airports, the committee members inspected the travel and arrival halls, VIP rest houses, the observation and meteorological towers, quarantine rooms, travel counters, baggage belts, ‘X-ray’ devices, passports, restaurants and cafeterias.
They made sure that all security, precautionary and preventive measures recommended by international health and aviation organisations are in place.
The tour is part of a series carried out by the Committee, in line with directives of the political leadership to continuously monitor and evaluate the security, environmental and health situation at all airports nationwide.
