DAVOS – Egyptian Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Co-operation Rania al- Mashat said that the sustainable economic growth is achieved by a number of factors topped by total economic stability, financial flexibility, investment policies and structural reforms.
This came during Mashat’s participation in World Economic Forum Annual Meeting “Davos” 2025 held under the rubric ‘Collaboration for the Intelligent Age’.
She pointed out to the importance of focusing on specific sectors that contribute to increasing the growth rates including the sectors of tourism and manufacturing.
She said that Egypt is working on a number of sectors which encourage continuous measures to give the opportunity to the private sector to lead the development efforts.
She also pointed out to the importance of finance for development and necessity to provide the necessary resources to achieve economic development whether via local finance or international institutions.
The Egyptian government is adopting a series financial reform steps to create a financial space to fund social programs that target needy segments and middle class along with maintaining the sustainability, she said.
