PARIS (MENA) – The Summit on Financing African Economies kicked off on Tuesday in the French capital of Paris with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, and a galaxy of African leaders.
Heads of international and national financial institutions, including Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva and President of the European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer, and representatives of G7, WTO and African Development Bank, attend the summit.
President Sisi will address key issues of concern to African countries, including fostering the international efforts to support African to achieve economic growth in face of the coronavirus pandemic and luring foreign investments to it.
Egypt will send a message to the international community to help the African countries recover from the coronavirus ramifications.
The objective of this summit is to plan joint and concrete actions that will help boost a strong and inclusive recovery in Africa.
