Presidential Adviser for the projects of the Suez Canal Axis and Ports Mohab Mamish has stressed the importance of the Suez Canal that connects the East with Europe.
Suez Canal is the most important waterway linking the East with Europe and is a key factor in world trade movement, Mamish said during a seminar organised by the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Sciences at Alexandria University on Wednesday.
Themed “The Egyptian Policy and Blue Economy”, the seminar was held in co-operation with the Egyptian Marine Salon.
Mamish touched upon development projects implemented over the past years following directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
One such project is the Suez Canal double lane, Mamish said, adding that other ventures include the development of the adjacent economic zone, not to mention the renovation of Egyptian ports and upgrading the maritime transport sector.
