On the sidelines of the 32nd Arab Summit, which is hosted by Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Friday in Jeddah with Prince Mohamed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
Presidential Spokesman Counsellor Ahmed Fahmy said in statement that Prince Mohamed bin Salman welcomed the president, expressing Saudi Arabia’s appreciation for Egypt’s leadership and people, and praising strong Egyptian-Saudi ties and historical relations.
The Crown Prince also voiced Saudi Arabia’s aspiration to continue advancing the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields.
For his part, President Sisi said he was delighted to visit Saudi Arabia, affirming that Egypt takes pride in the historical ties between the two brotherly countries and peoples.
The president also congratulated the Crown Prince on Saudi Arabia’s presidency of the 32nd Arab Summit, expressing best Egypt’s wishes and confidence in Saudi Arabia’s success in promoting joint Arab action during the coming period.
Counsellor Fahmy added that the meeting touched on means to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields and sustain partnership between the two countries for common interest and mutual benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
