Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the keenness of the state to expand in the projects of agricultural development which contribute to promoting food security and improving the quality of living in addition to being related to a number of productive activities to support the sectors of industry and exports and achieve the integrated goals of development.
This came during a meeting to follow up the implementation of assessing and classifying the soil in the targeted areas to implement agricultural development projects in presence of Agriculture Minister el Sayyed el Qusair and Irrigation Minister Hani Suweilam.
The meeting tackled the measures taken for the soil classification in coordination with the different concerned bodies and ministries, Spokesman for the Cabinet Nader Saad said.
The meeting also reviewed the results of the exploration studies in the targeted areas to make sure of the quality of soil to be used in agricultural development in the New Valley, Aswan, North Sinai and others, Saad said.
