Egypt’s President of the State Council Counselor Ahmed Aboud received Engineer Abdel-Sadiq el-Shorbagy, Chairman of the National Press Authority (NPA), at the Council’s premises in the New Administrative Capital.
The two sides underscored the mutual commitment of both institutions to enhancing co-operation and advancing shared objectives.
During the meeting, Counselor Aboud commended the NPA for its pivotal role in managing and developing Egypt’s national press institutions. He praised the Authority’s efforts to strengthen the media sector and its contributions to fostering public awareness on national and societal issues.
For his part, el-Shorbagy stressed the importance of building on the NPA’s institutional strengths and sustaining the implementation of its development strategy. He described Egypt’s national press as a model of professional journalism in the Arab world, with a rich legacy and a vital role in supporting national interests.
El-Shorbagy also expressed deep appreciation for the State Council, describing it as a cornerstone of judicial and constitutional integrity in the Arab region. He lauded the Council’s landmark rulings and its longstanding role as a reference point for justice and legal reform.
Counselor Aboud, in turn, highlighted the exemplary nature of the collaboration between the State Council and the NPA, calling it a model for institutional synergy between the judiciary and other state bodies. He voiced hope for continued coordination in service of Egypt’s national development goals.
