NEW ADMINISTRATIVE CAPITAL – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi discussed in a meeting with President of the British University in Egypt (BUE) Mohamed Loutfi ways of cementing co-operation in organising sportive activities and events.
In this regard, the two sides probed collaboration in running a marathon in October, holding a health forum, inaugurating a sports center for the British university and hosting various tournaments, in addition to offering scholarships to athletes.
The sports minister said his ministry is interested in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to implement sports activities at Egyptian universities and institutes.
Sobhi added his ministry seeks to benefit from youth centers to serve as integrated community service centers to attract young people and citizens, through holding further youth, cultural and intellectual activities, and providing literacy classes, along with expanding scouting teams.
On his part, President of the British University hailed the efforts exerted by the sports minister to boost cooperation with various universities, institutes and educational institutions in the coming period to hold sportive activities and events for young people.
