Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy congratulated Egyptian weightlifter Sara Samir for winning three gold medals in the Women’s 76 category at the World Championships in Colombia on Wednesday.

Samir added two new golds in the clean and total lifts, after she has just achieved the snatch gold, thus achieving three gold medals in the snatch, clean.

In statements, the minister of sports said Egypt maintains distinguished high records in weightlifting competitions for men and women, as Egyptian players always snatch many titles in Arab and African competitions.

Sobhy stressed his ministry’s keenness on extending full support to all Egyptian athletes, with a view to preserving all sports’ achievements attained by national team players.
