MADRID – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez received on Wednesday visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi upon arrival at the Spanish government HQ in Madrid.
The premier shook hands with President Sisi and had a photo-opportunity before starting their talks.
A plenary session of talks will be held between delegations of both countries, then a number of agreements will be signed, including a joint declaration for elevating bilateral ties to the level of strategic partnership.
The two countries are scheduled to sign memorandums of understanding in the fields of tourism, transport, infrastructure and immigration.
Sánchez and Sisi will hold a joint press conference at the end of the talks.
Sisi started on Tuesday a visit to Spain with an aim to enhance bilateral ties, especially in the economic, investment and trade domains, in addition to coordinating stances with Spain with regard to the Palestinian cause.
