Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity Margaret Sarofim Saturday discussed with Head of Labor Market Services for Transition Unit at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Michael Mwasikakata – and his accompanying delegation – co-operation between Egypt and the ILO in a number of joint working files pertaining to employment, training and seasonal workers.
This came during a meeting at the premises of the Social Solidarity Ministry in the New Administrative Capital, in the presence of Assistant Social Solidarity Minister for Social Protection Rafaat Shafik and a host of leaderships of the ministry.
The deputy minister of social solidarity hailed the distinguished partnership with the ILO in the files of economic empowerment and combating child labor.
She highlighted efforts aimed at ensuring economic empowerment by targeting the beneficiaries of Takaful and Karama, developing capabilities and skills and opening new markets.
Sarofim further highlighted the due attention given to the growing role of civil society and private sector institutions in the development process.
