BEIRUT – Egyptian Social Solidarity Minister Nevine Kabbaj reviewed Egypt’s experiment in implementing social protection programmes in the past few years, especially the financial support system targeting the most needy families.
This came in her speech during a meeting of a delegation of the Arab League and the Arab Social Affairs Ministers Council in Beirut to get familiar with the current conditions in Lebanon and probe offering assistance to the Lebanese people.
The meeting was attended by the Lebanese premiers and a number of ministers and representatives of NGOs and civil society.
During her speech, she stressed the importance of increasing production in the Arab region and not to depend on aid only in order to realize social justice and economic empowerment.
