Egyptian Social Solidarity Minister Nivene Kabbag on Wednesday directed officials from her ministry to provide all support required to families of victims and injured people in the car accident that took place in Sohag on Tuesday.
In a press release, the minister also called for intensifying efforts to help the affected families and also offered them her condolences over those killed in the accident.
Seventeen people were killed and three others injured when a microbus collided with a truck on the Western Desert Road in Juhayna locality, in the Upper Egyptian Governorate of Sohag.
The minister ordered allocating LE50,000 to the deceased breadwinner, LE25,000 to other deceased and LE5,000 to those injured in the accident.
