Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine el-Kabbag Sunday hailed the role of the Egyptian Red Crescent and its maintained co-operation with Palestine Red Crescent Society to ensure the delivery of humanitarian and relief assistance to the Gaza strip.
This came during a meeting between Kabbag and Palestinian Minister of Social Development Sameh Hussien and her accompanying delegation at the premises of the Social Solidarity Ministry in the New Administrative capital (NAC).
The meeting tackled boosting cooperation in a set of domains of common interest as well as coordination and consultation regarding services provided to Palestinians who crossed Rafah Border Crossing, especially children, amid the deteriorated humanitarian conditions in the enclave.
The meeting took place on the fringe of the third Arab Forum for Equality, which is hosted by Cairo under the theme “Addressing inequality in times of multiple crises”.
Kabbag hailed the role of the National Alliance for Civil Development work as well as NGOs in providing all forms of support to Palestinians through Rafah crossing.
She highlighted efforts of the Social Solidarity Ministry to provide multiple services to Palestinian refugees in Egypt, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian minister thanked Egypt for its efforts and continued support to the Palestinian cause. Hussien highlighted Egypt’s pioneering status in the Arab region under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
