Egypt’s Social Solidarity Minister Nevine el Qabbag on Sunday discussed in a meeting with WFP Representative and Country Director in Egypt Praveen Agrawal means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Qabbag said the State is highly in offering primary health care to mother and child during pregnancy, lactation and weaning.
The social solidarity minister added that cooperation with the WFP in the current period focuses on the economic empowerment for mothers of school children through setting up micro-enterprises in the fields of agricultural, livestock and handicrafts or employing them in production units and workshops.
The two sides also probed cooperation in electronic payment and financial inclusion for all female beneficiaries of the ministry’s services, by encouraging them to open bank accounts and issue Miza payment cards.
