Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy discussed with President of the Japanese Olympic Committee Yasuhiro Yamashita means of boosting joint co-operation, according to a statement by the ministry on Saturday.
The meeting was held in the Japanese capital Tokyo, where Sobhy was attending Olympic Games competitions.
The meeting is part of official gatherings he is having with a number of officials during his visit to Japan.
The Egyptian minister thanked the head of the Olympic committee for good organization of the Olympiad and its official opening ceremony, held on Friday.
He also hailed the measures and preparations for training the Egyptian mission participating in the Tokyo Games.
Minister Sobhy discussed with Yamashita, who is also President of All Japan Judo Federation, the national project that is adopted by the ministry to sponsor talented athletes in many games, in addition to the ministry’s vision on spreading Judo game nationwide.
