Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed on Tuesday a discussion panel under the theme “nation’s story ..vision and achievement”.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Higher Education Ayman Ashour attended the panel alongside the heads of students’ unions of Egyptian universities.
Sisi had talks with a number of heads and representative of university student unions on the fringe of his visit of Suez Canal University within the framework of celebrating Egyptian Universities Excellence Day.
During the panel, Ministers Ayman Ashour of Higher Education and Reda Hegazi of Education presented a documentary film of the achievements realised in the educational domain.
The documentary film said the political leadership has a future vision for better future for the Egyptian people.
The documentary film said Egypt is keen on building a new generation in smart universities for all Egyptians.
It noted that the number of government universities increased from 19 to 27 universities in eight years, adding that 20 national ones were set up to offer the highest educational level in line with international standards.
Egypt established a fund for promoting innovators as well as about 10 modern technological universities.
It added that efforts are underway to raise the number of technological universities to 27.
