Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed the importance of making use of the results of scientific research in supporting the national economy.
The president’s statements came during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour.
The president called for spreading the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship while taking into consideration the necessity of linking scientific research to development and social needs.
The president called for connecting the curricula with the labor market with continuing efforts to train and qualify human cadres to deal with the shortage of academicians.
Presidential spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy said the meeting took up the implementation rates of projects carried out by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Minister Ashour reviewed presidential initiatives on higher education and scientific research and efforts exerted by teaching hospitals to receive wounded Palestinians from Gaza, pointing out that the hospitals will continue offering medical services to the Gazans.
