Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from his US counterpart Donald Trump, during which they discussed strengthening bilateral ties, regional security, and economic cooperation.

During the conversation, Sisi congratulated Trump on his re-election, praising the trust he has earned from the American people.

He also invited Trump to visit Egypt to further boost strategic relations and probe regional developments, including his participation in the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

Trump, in turn, invited Sisi to Washington for high-level discussions at the White House.

The talks focused on enhancing economic and investment cooperation, strengthening security ties, and addressing water security challenges. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.

The duo also tackled the Gaza ceasefire agreement, brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the US, stressing the need to reinforce the ceasefire and accelerate humanitarian aid deliveries to support Gaza’s population.

Sisi stressed the importance of achieving lasting peace in the region, expressing confidence in Trump’s ability to lead efforts toward a historic peace agreement.

He highlighted the international community’s expectations for the US leadership in resolving long-standing conflicts.

The two presidents agreed to maintain regular communication and coordination, instructing officials on both sides to deepen cooperation across economic, security, and political sectors to address regional challenges and advance shared interests.
