Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi visited on Tuesday a medical exhibition on the fringes of the Global Congress on Population, Health and Development (PHDC), which kicked off on Tuesday in the New Administrative Capital.
Sisi was accompanied by Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
During the president’s tour of the health ministry’s pavilion, he was briefed by the health minister on the digital transformation of his ministry in all health initiatives and data as part of the 100 Million Healthy Lives Initiative.
The digital transformation connects all systems in real time to benefit from the database of the Universal Health Insurance System and make decisions based on reality in all governorates nationwide, Abdel Ghaffar said.
The minister also reviewed a number of initiatives, such as the one for pre-marriage medical tests and the another for the early detection of colon, lung, prostate and cervical cancer.
