Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, on Friday made an inspection tour of the military Strategic Command Center in the New Administrative Capital in preparation for the relocation of the Armed Forces Command.
Sisi issued directives for making the strategic command center an edifice for the great Egyptian people and a vital addition to the Armed Forces capabilities in a way that ensures integrated planning and coordination among military entities, and maintains the Armed Forces preparedness to face challenges effectively and efficiently through state-of-the-art technology systems.
The president was received at the premises by Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Meguid Saqr, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. General Ahmed Khalifa, Head of the Egyptian Military Academy Lt. General Ashraf Zaher, in addition to a number of Armed Forces commanders.
Amid extremely complex regional and international conditions, maximizing the comprehensive power of the Egyptian state is placed at the top of its [the state’s] priorities, Sisi said.
The Egyptian state has anticipated future prospects with a deep vision for events and insight into international changes and developments, Sisi said, stressing that it was proven that whoever wants peace must possess the necessary power that is capable of maintaining it [peace].
The president asserted that the new strategic command will play a pivotal role in promoting strenuous efforts to protect the Egyptian national security on all strategic fronts in a way that achieves the state’s strategic objectives.
Sisi also toured the Egyptian Military Academy, inspecting a number of its facilities, including the building for graduate and strategic studies, the artillery institute building, the infantry institute, and the academy’s equestrian club.
In this regard, the president stressed the importance which the state attaches to developing the educational and training systems in a way that ensures raising the levels of performance and competence of learners and trainees and enhances their capabilities and qualifies them to carry out the various tasks assigned to them in the future.
