CAIRO – Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi thanked on Sunday the national football team for their outstanding performance at the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
In a post on his official pages on social media platforms, Sisi said: “You have done what you owe, you have earned the respect of everyone and you have honored your country. We are all confident that you would offset for this title and make the Egyptians happy by ascending to the World Cup.”
The president voiced his trust in the team and its leadership, saying “what you have done prove that you are capable of doing the best”.
