Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday swore in Egypt’s new Prosecutor-General, Justice Mohamed Shawki Ayad.
The president wished the new top prosecutor success in undertaking his duties and responsibilities within a framework of the sovereignty of law and through persistent work to empower citizens of their rights in accordance with the Constitution and law, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
In the meantime, President Sisi bestowed the Order of the Republic 1st Class on former top prosecutor Hamada El Sawi, and expressed appreciation of his efforts to protect and safeguard the rights of citizens and the society at large, spokesman Fahmy said.
