Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the state’s keenness on realising development in parallel with combating terrorism.

During the 35th seminar of the Armed Forces on the Martyr’s Day, Sisi offered all appreciation to the families of martyrs and those injured for the sake of their nation.

He called on all attendees to salute the families of martyrs.

Sisi said when the battle against terrorist started in 2013-2014, he was sure that the power of evil will never beat the power of good.

He added that the current international conditions show that the march of development which Egypt started several years ago would have been more costly if it started now.

He added that protecting Egypt is not enough, “We should build and develop it”.

He noted that Egypt faced unprecedented challenges over the past years.

Sisi thanked God and the Egyptian people who work hard and sacrifice.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said thanks to the sacrifices of Egypt’s sons, the country has managed to realise these achievements.

He added that the state has not stopped upgrading its army and police even in the hardest times.
