Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stood on the latest developments of establishing data centers and launching cloud computing in Egypt within the framework of implementing various axes of Digital Egypt strategy.
Sisi also stood on the government’s efforts to provide an appropriate environment to encourage global investments, thus benefiting from the ongoing progress in the technological and information infrastructure in Egypt.
This falls within the framework of the state’s interest in developing the communications and IT sector.
Sisi made the remarks during a meeting with Communications and IT Minister Amr Talaat alongside Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Major General Ahmed Al-Shazly, Deputy Minister of Communications and IT Bakr Bayoumi and Major General Director of the Signal Department of the Armed Forces Hani Mansour.
During the meeting, Sisi directed to intensify efforts to promote state capabilities, especially boosting investments in data centers and could computing.
He underlined the importance of continued efforts to build technical capabilities of Egyptian youth and preparing digital cadres capable of competing effectively in the local and global labor market.
