Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez have expressed concern over escalating violence in the Gaza Strip which caused the deterioration of security and humanitarian conditions in the Palestinian enclave.
President spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said president Sisi received on Tuesday a phone call from the Spanish prime minister whose country is the current president of the European Union where the two leaders focused on humanitarian conditions in the sector.
The two leaders stressed the importance of international coordination to urge all parties to calm down the situation and stem the bloodshed in the region, Fahmi said.
The president called for intensifying efforts exerted by the international community to send humanitarian aid to the Gazans and deal with the cause of escalation to reach a permanent and just solution to the Palestinian problem.
