“I am very delighted with my first visit to the Republic of Türkiye and my meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” President Abdel Fattah El Sisi wrote on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.
“Egypt and Türkiye are bound by deep-rooted historical and popular relations, reinforced by robust political ties since the establishment of the Turkish Republic by Moustafa Kemal Atatürk.
“My visit today, and the earlier visit to Cairo by President Erdogan, usher in a new chapter in the friendship and co-operation between Egypt and Türkiye, grounded in their pivotal roles in the region and internationally, to fulfilthe ambitions of the two brotherly peoples” Sisi added.
