Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi followed up on Monday on the executive situation of the provision of housing for employees in the new administrative capital, in preparation for the start of the actual relocation to the capital.
The President directed, in this context, the government to adhere to the implementation schedules according to the highest quality standards.
The president also reviewed the executive situation of all national projects being implemented by the Ministry of Housing nationwide, especially the fourth-generation cities and the development of Cairo governorate.
The President’s remarks came during his meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Minister of Housing Assem El-Gazzar, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
The President also followed up on the distribution of about 30,000 housing units to the new capital’s employees.
The President was briefed on the progress of work in the ongoing projects to develop the Khedivial Cairo area as an extension of the development of Tahrir Square, especially the restoration work of the facades of ancient heritage buildings starting from Tahrir Square, passing through Talaat Harb and Moustafa Kamel squares and the Ataba Square area.
President Sisi called for the development of these paths and the restoration of their splendor as a source of tourist, recreational and cultural attractions.
He also gave directions for the start of the cultural development of Azbakeya Park to restore its position as one of the most important heritage parks in the capital.
In the same context, developments in the aqueduct area, with its residential, commercial and recreational parts, as well as the development of the Maspero Triangle area, were presented.
The President was also briefed on the situation regarding the housing units that are being implemented as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians”, including the provision these housing units of for rent.
The executive situation of the facilities and services in the New El Alamein City was also reviewed as well as the progress of work in the new city of Mansoura with its various residential, construction and service elements.
This comes as well as a number of projects in Ras El Bar under the supervision of the New Urban Communities Authority in the context of developing this distinguished coastal spot.
