Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to provide all sources of financing and equipment required at the highest level in order to manage waste in industrial areas of all kinds.
He also called for maximising the benefit of the recycling process of such waste because of its positive environmental impact and to maintain safe living and health conditions for citizens.
The president’s remarks came during his meeting on Tuesday with Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Ihab El-Far as well as a host of top officials, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
During the meeting, the President was briefed on the efforts of the state in dealing with various industrial waste, especially marble and granite in the industrial estates operating in this sector.
The President also followed up the current executive situation of the establishment of an integrated factory for the recycling of solid and liquid waste of factories and workshops in the Shaq Al-Thaaban area with a capacity of 300,000 tons per day.
This comes with the aim of improving and preserving the environment as well as achieving an economic return from recycling these wastes and using them in the production of many of materials used in construction at international and with high environmental standards.
