President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Wednesday with Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdellatif, and the Director of the Egyptian Military Academy, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher.
President Sisi was briefed during the meeting on the efforts being exerted by the relevant state institutions to develop mechanisms of selecting and training educational cadres. These efforts aim to ensure that candidates selected for teaching roles meet the highest scientific, technical, and personal standards. To achieve this, the state’s full resources will be utilised, Presidency Spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy said.
The meeting included a review of a host of rehabilitation axes for the educational process, mainly supporting and building teachers’ capacities and skills of teachers, he added.
President Sisi stressed that the state accords priority to advancing the educational system, in particular the human element, through careful selection and qualification that ensure the highest degree of objectivity and efficiency, which will reflect positively on the quality of education, the spokesman added.
The president emphasised the necessity of paying due attention to teachers as the cornerstone of the educational process, El Shennawy noted.
