CAIRO – President of the Supreme Constitutional Court Said Marei has expressed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s keenness on non-interference in the affairs of justice.

In an interview with “Good Morning Egypt” programme in Egypt’s TV Tuesday, Marei said that the president was the first to issue directives to set October 1 as the Egyptian Justice Day, shedding light on the independence of justice.

Marei added that Egypt was the first to fight terrorism and it waged a fierce battle against terror under President Sisi who believes in the rule of law and the constitution principles.

On digitalisation of justice, Marei said the digitalisation process is very important for Egyptians to shorten the period of litigation procedures.

On the role of women in justice, the constitutional court president said women live the brightest era under president Sisi as they received their full rights including key posts in all justice authorities.
