He also lauded the strategic partnership between the two countries and continued consultations on various regional and international issues.
The meeting tackled the conditions in the Gaza Strip and the latest developments in joint mediation efforts to clinch a deal on ceasefire and releasing captives.
President Sisi underlined the importance of reaching an immediate ceasefire, highlighting the humanitarian crisis and famine in the Gaza Strip.
He warned of the gravity of any military operation in the Palestinian city of Rafah.
Sisi underlined the importance of swift movement to ensure access of enough amounts of humanitarian aid into the enclave.
He urged intensifying efforts to activate the two-state solution and establish an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
For his part, Blinken lauded the efforts exerted by Egypt to push for a truce, underlining the US’ keenness on coordination and consultation to restore regional stability and security.
The two sides agreed on the importance of continued joint efforts in this respect, rejecting forced displacement of the Palestinians and taking all needed measures to ensure access of humanitarian aid.
