Egypt’s Presidential Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag Eddin asserted President Adel Fattah El Sisi is paying greater attention to the national project to manufacture and collect plasma derivatives to upgrade healthcare offered to different people.
In televised remarks Saturday, Tag Eddin said the important national strategic project is aiming to achieve self-sufficiency of plasma derivatives.
Several diseases need plasma, he said, adding that we were importing plasma derivatives from abroad.
Now, the president has adopted this important national project for plasma collection to secure needs of the state of medications in order to reduce imports and strengthen and localize the industry, according to the presidential adviser.
The state has already established a factory for collecting and manufacturing plasma derivatives in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), which will be finalized in the coming period.
