Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued directives for naming a main traffic axis in Cairo after Mrs Farhana, a Sinai Bedouin woman, and establishing a neighborhood in Sinai in her name; in recognition of her efforts.
The move was announced during a speech delivered by President Sisi at a ceremony held by the union of Arab tribes and Egyptian families on Saturday on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the October 6 War victory.
The ceremony is held in the New Administrative Capital.
