The Armed Forces have directed the families of martyrs and wounded veterans from previous wars to contact the relevant authorities to receive their financial entitlements, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The directives include martyrs and wounded veterans of the wars of 1948, Yemen, 1956, the War of Attrition, and the 1973 War, in recognition of their sacrifices for the nation.
The Fund for Honouring Martyrs, Victims, Missing Persons, and Wounded Veterans of Military Operations and their Families will disburse a one-time financial compensation of LE100,000 to eligible beneficiaries from the Armed Forces, according to the degree of disability.
Eligible beneficiaries from a martyr’s family include the father, mother, spouse, and children, in addition to the wounded veteran himself.
In case of the wounded veteran’s death, the compensation will be disbursed to his heirs, including the father, mother, spouse, and children.
This step comes as part of the Armed Forces’ efforts to identify eligible beneficiaries from the families of martyrs and wounded veterans of the previous wars.
