CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with top brass of the Armed Forces at the State Strategic Command Centre in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Thursday, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
The spokesman added that President Sisi met with Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Osama Askar and discussed a number of files and topics related to activities and efforts of the army in maintaining national security.
The meeting also reviewed the latest developments at both the international and regional arenas, amid current challenges and circumstances in the region, according to the spokesman.
President Sisi commended painstaking efforts exerted by the Armed Forces and the important role they play in safeguarding the state’s borders against any threat, in addition to their main contributions to boosting development efforts nationwide, he said.
