President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeted the Egyptian people and the armed forces on Monday on the anniversary of the October War victory.
In a post on his official social media pages, Sisi said: “On the anniversary of the glorious October victory, we extend our greetings to the proud Egyptian people and the valiant armed forces, as we proudly recall the spirit of determination and unity that brought glory and protected the homeland.”
He added: “As the region passes through a critical historical phase and intensive efforts are underway to achieve peace, Egypt reaffirms its firm position: that sustainable security and stability can only be achieved through a just and comprehensive peace based on internationally recognized legitimacy, one that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and opens up limitless prospects for peaceful coexistence and cooperation among all peoples of the region.”
