Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received at his residence in Brussels John Cockerill’s CEO Jean-Luc Maurange.
Egyptian Ambassador in Brussels Badr Abdel Aati attended the meeting on Wednesday along with Ahmed Khaled, the Commander of Strategic Command, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Sisi stressed Egypt’s keenness on enhancing co-operation with Belgium in various domains, adding the two countries are looking forward to enhancing co-operation, especially in the defense industries domain.
For his part, Maurange said he was honoured to meet President Sisi, stressing the company’s keenness on co-operating with Egypt, especially in view of its key role in promoting stability and security in the Middle East, East Mediterranean and Africa.
He referred also to Egypt’s key role within the framework of international efforts in combating terrorism.
