Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi toured Old Cairo on Friday afternoon to follow up on the progress of underway works on a number of national projects, i.e. axes and roads.
The President was keen to have conversations with passers-by and to exchange good wishes with them ahead of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which is due to begin in early April.
The President asked the citizens and their families about the living conditions and attentively listened to their demands.
Earlier, the President ordered the government and parties concerned to increase reserves of food commodities in a bid to combat prices hikes ahead of the holy month.
